Arielle Kebbel Filmography
There aren’t a lot of young celebrities, who are able to tackle a host of different genres in movies and television effectively. Some actors have the knack for comedic timing, delivering punch lines with ease and yet when it comes to dramatic performances fail miserably.
Fresh-faced and talented Arielle Kebbel has starred in over 20 TV shows and movies, all of different genres in her four years in the business. She may very well be among the most prolific young actresses in Hollywood today, proof that the young actress can indeed act. In 2006 alone, Arielle starred in seven films: Daydreamer (set to be released in 2007), Forever Strong (set to be released in 2007), Outlaw Trail, The Grudge 2, John Tucker Must Die, Aquamarine and The Bros.
In Daydreamer, Arielle Kebbel plays the female lead character - Casey Green. The mystery-thriller revolves around the character Clinton Roark (played by Aaron Paul) who can’t quite make out what Casey Green finds attractive in him. He becomes convinced Casey’s just the figment of his imagination.
In Aquamarine, Arielle plays headstrong Cecilia, daughter of a local TV celebrity and leader of her clique. Cecilia finds interest in Raymond (played by Jake McDorman), the guy the lead star Aquamarine also falls in love with. Will Cecilia move aside, so Aquamarine can make her moves with Raymond? Of course not! The movie also stars teen celebrity Emma Roberts, pop star Jojo Levesque and rising star Sara Paxton.
Totally different from her role in Aquamarine, Arielle plays a nerdy wallflower in the horror film The Grudge 2. The movie, which was shot in Japan and was directed by Takashi Shimizu, tells the story of a supernatural curse that affects Audrey Davis (Amber Tamblyn). In the movie, Arielle plays the role of Allison Fleming, a student that was taken to the Grudge house by schoolmates to undergo initiation rites, so that she can become part of the ‘popular’ gang. The girls end up awakening the curse. Despite the language barrier and the cultural differences, she encountered on the set, Arielle enjoyed doing the movie that was headlined by Sarah Michelle Gellar and Amber Tamblyn.
Arielle plays Carrie Schaefer in the romantic comedy John Tucker Must Die. The movie is about three ex-girlfriends’ scheming tactics against their two-timing ex-boyfriend John Tucker played by Jesse Metcalfe. Directed by Betty Thomas, the movie also stars Brittany Snow, Ashanti, Sophia Bush and Jenny McCarthy.
Arielle plays Ellie, the lead female in Outlaw Trail, an adventure film that will be shown in 2007. She played a small role in The Bros, a movie directed by Jonathan Figg.
In 2005, Arielle was cast in the following movies: The Kid and I, American Pie: Band Camp, Dirty Deeds, Reeker and the sequel to Get Shorty - Be Cool. Arielle did one film in 2004 - Soul Plane, a movie by Director Jessy Terrero.
